A Little Colour, A Bigger Impact

CANCER COUNCIL FUNDRAISER

A Little Colour.
A Bigger Impact.

I’m changing my hair for a cause. On 31 October, I’ll be getting lavender/purple highlights and turning a personal change into an opportunity to raise money and awareness for Cancer Council Victoria.

A small personal change can create something bigger.

Changing my hair might seem like a small thing, but I wanted to turn that personal decision into something meaningful.

Rather than simply changing my appearance, I’m using the opportunity to encourage people around me to think about cancer, support an important organisation and contribute towards a cause that affects so many people.

The idea behind A Little Colour, A Bigger Impact is simple: a little colour in my hair can hopefully create a much bigger impact beyond myself.

THE CHALLENGE

I’m putting a little purple into the world.

On the day of the fundraiser, I’ll be getting lavender/purple highlights in my hair.

It’s a visible change, a little outside my normal look, and hopefully a fun way to get people talking about the fundraiser.

The goal is not simply the hair transformation. The real goal is what that transformation can help create.

THE FUNDRAISING GOAL

Let’s turn $1,000 into a bigger impact.

My goal is to raise $1,000 AUD for Cancer Council. Every donation contributes towards the overall goal, and I want to make this fundraiser something that people can genuinely get behind.

FUNDRAISING GOAL $1,000 AUD
HAIR COST $200 Estimated cost
MY PLEDGE $200 Matching the estimated hair cost
💜 I’ll match the first 3 donations.

For the first three donations made to the fundraiser, I’ll personally match each donation up to $25. That’s up to an additional $75 from me.

Donate through Cancer Council

I’m putting my own money behind the challenge too.

$200 personal pledge

The estimated cost of getting my hair coloured is $200. I’m matching that cost with a $200 personal pledge to the fundraiser.

Plus the first 3 donations

I’ll also match the first three donations, up to $25 per donation. That means I could contribute another $75 on top of my $200 pledge.

Because the impact goes far beyond the fundraiser.

Cancer Council Victoria supports work across cancer research, prevention and support for people affected by cancer.

A little colour.
A bigger impact.
