My professional journey has been shaped by a diverse range of experiences across retail, compliance, community engagement, and youth development. Since entering the workforce at the age of 15, I have continually sought opportunities that challenge me, strengthen my skills, and allow me to make a positive contribution to both organisations and the communities they serve.
Across every role, I have developed a reputation for being dependable, adaptable, and committed to delivering high standards. Whether working in fast-paced retail environments, evaluating compliance, supporting young people, or volunteering at community events, I approach every opportunity with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine desire to learn.
My retail career began with KFC Australia, where I spent more than three years developing a comprehensive understanding of customer service, food preparation, workplace safety, and team collaboration. During my time with KFC, I worked across multiple departments, including front counter, drive-through, kitchen operations, and food preparation, giving me a well-rounded understanding of high-volume hospitality operations.
As I gained experience, I progressed into leadership-focused positions including Skills Champion and Shift Supervisor Trainee. These roles allowed me to mentor new employees, assist with workplace training, support day-to-day operations, and gain valuable insight into leadership, stock management, customer complaint resolution, and team coordination. Working across multiple KFC restaurants also strengthened my adaptability and ability to quickly integrate into different teams and operating environments.
In 2025, I joined ALDI Australia as a Store Assistant, where I continue to develop my skills within one of Australia's most efficient retail organisations. Working across multiple stores has exposed me to a wide variety of operational processes, including customer service, merchandising, inventory management, stock replenishment, store presentation, and safe equipment operation.
Operating in a fast-paced retail environment has further strengthened my communication, time management, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure. I consistently maintain high scanning speeds while ensuring excellent customer service and accuracy, demonstrating my commitment to both efficiency and quality.
In addition to retail, I worked with CGL Retail Services as a Mystery Shopper, undertaking independent compliance assessments for a range of businesses throughout Australia.
This role involved evaluating Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) compliance, customer service standards, employee professionalism, and operational procedures across retail liquor stores and hospitality venues. Following each assessment, I prepared objective and detailed reports that measured compliance against company policies and legislative requirements.
This experience significantly strengthened my observation skills, analytical thinking, written communication, attention to detail, and ability to objectively assess business performance. It also provided valuable insight into organisational standards, customer experience, and continuous improvement practices.
Alongside my professional career, I am passionate about giving back to the community through volunteering and youth engagement initiatives.
As a Programs Assistant with Blue Light Victoria, I support the delivery of educational and crime prevention programs within primary schools, secondary schools, and English Language Schools. Working alongside Victoria Police officers and program facilitators, I assist in creating safe, engaging, and supportive learning environments that encourage positive decision-making, resilience, teamwork, and community connection.
These experiences have provided invaluable opportunities to work with children and young people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, strengthening my communication skills, leadership abilities, and understanding of youth development. Seeing the positive impact these programs have on students has reinforced my passion for supporting individuals and contributing to stronger communities.
I have also volunteered with HeartKids Limited, assisting with community fundraising events that support children and families affected by childhood-onset heart disease. My responsibilities included event setup and pack-down, volunteer coordination, participant support, and ensuring activities operate safely and efficiently.
Volunteering has given me the opportunity to work alongside passionate community members while contributing to causes that create meaningful social impact. These experiences have strengthened my confidence, teamwork, organisational skills, and ability to engage respectfully with people from all walks of life.
Across my employment and volunteer roles, I have developed a broad range of transferable skills that continue to support both my academic studies and professional growth.
These include:
Each position I have held has contributed to the person and professional I am becoming. My experiences across retail, compliance, and community engagement have provided practical insight into how organisations operate, how effective teams succeed, and how meaningful relationships can positively influence both individuals and communities.
As I continue my studies in Psychology and Business (Marketing), I look forward to building upon these experiences and pursuing opportunities that combine strategic thinking, consumer insight, leadership, and community impact. I remain committed to continuous learning, professional excellence, and making a positive difference through both my career and volunteer work.
